As far as I know nothing is "Record Breaking" about it. It's only the "World's First" element which is new about it, oh and the theme and other things.

The element that lies within the building is the 'world first' that the park have been going on about. However the park has made everyone who knows what this part is sign a contract which states they will keep it confidential.

I suppose we will all find out what it is later in Febuary as The Sun will be launching the park map this year as well as an offer where you collect tokens to receive two free tickets for the Alton Towers Resort - so they may announce it then as no doubt we will see a pullout section for Alton Towers - just to add, Alton Towers pay nothing for this; The Sun do this off their own accord due to the massive increase in circulation the paper gets when they do this.

I am lucky enough to be going on the preview weekend, the week before it opens. Unfortunately we won't be able to say anything about it until it opens due to confidentiality. Great PR for Alton though.

I'll be attending the preview event for Corporate Customers and attending a presentation about the future of the resort which should be interesting. :coffee

Well, I usually avoid ride openings - too crowded and too many technical issues for my liking.

But the 'secret element' has me intrigued, and I want to ride it before all the videos get on youtube and descriptions on enthusiast (and anti-enthusiast ;) ) sites everywhere so I intend to be there on 20 March.
