fleetwood pier

plans have been submitted for a development on the site of the old fleetwood pier to include,hotel shop,leisure facilities etc,what not clear is if its going to be on a pier going out to sea or on the land.Here is the plans courtesy

The pier being rebuilt with ancillary buildings would be great to see.
A development using the land on the seafront adjacent to a defunct pier as per the drawing - well if they give permission for one, owners of neighbouring plots of land on the seafront would also expect (quite rightly) to be granted permission for the same.

anything i have come across has refered to landward buildings except for one which said the landward side of the development,perhaps they will build a small seaward structure
